As a well-endowed woman, I have spent my entire adulthood in the quest of finding a comfortable and supportive bra.
Early on, I intuitively knew that underwires were not for me. They pinched and poked me, plus when I raised my arms, my breasts spilled out from underneath them.
I went to Department Stores - including the upscale ones like Saks and Nordstrom, Corsetoriums, Women's Specialty Stores, and the like. No one was able to provide me with a garment that effectively raised and supported my breasts.
Over the years I have been asked (recently by a Medical Assistant in a doctor's office), "why don't you just get a breast reduction!?"
My answer was "I like my breasts - I just want them to be comfortably supported!"
Years ago I remarked that I wished someone would build a bra with a shelf that would hold them up. I was not an engineer, so that was not an endeavor I was willing to take on.
Finally in 2009 I discovered the Jeunique line of bras with the patented Banderin - the shelf I was imagining!
I traveled 5 1/2 hours to a Certified Fitter to get measured and fitted for the bra. I purchased 3 - one to wear, one to wash, and one for spare.
I was thrilled with how comfortable the bras were and how effectively they elevated my bust line. I immediately had the appearance of a longer torso and narrower waist!!
Being so excited with the comfort and self-confidence these bras have afforded me, I decided to make it my personal mission to introduce them to other women. I have had the joyous experience of working with an 80 year old woman with osteoporosis, a middle aged woman with a double mastectomy, and a young mother of 3 who's breasts hung almost down to her waist, to name a few.
I only wish I knew about these bras when I was pregnant with, and nursing, my daughter.
I am grateful that I am able make available to other women these amazing bras that provide a comfortable and supportive solution for all of their bra needs throughout their female lifecycle.
